.Breakdancing Stereotypes

  • Breakdancing is a fad.
    It's been around for 30 years
  • Can only be done by certain people.
    Done all over the world by all sorts of races, sizes, shapes, and sexes. Most adaptable dance you just have to entertain.
  • It is dangerous, you can break bones.
    The name Breakdancing came from people who dance to the “Breaks” of songs. It is no more dangerous than skateboarding, football, gymnastics or any other activity. If done right you should not get hurt, getting hurt means you were not in control of your body or you exceeded your skill level.
  • I'm too old.
    The only limits are the ones we place on ourselves. If you can take instructions and get stronger you can still learn. Adults learn faster than kids, adults just have more things competing for their time.
